‘It was the first time I saw you, I mean you as in you.’ Evelyn said watching him play, he refused eye contact with her like he was ashamed.
‘I thought she was going to kill you and then.’ Evelyn trailed off because she didn’t want to think about that. Even if she was ghost herself she didn’t wish death on anyone especially her friends, she wanted them alive and well. Especially Monroe.
‘Yeah and instead I killed her.’ Monroe said nonchalantly, never missing a note as he played. Evelyn watched him for a moment before rising and crossing to him. Monroe felt the slight pressure when she put a hand on his and smiled.
‘You didn’t have a choice, there was more than just your life at stake.’ Evelyn said reassuringly. Monroe remained silent
‘You know it’s actually quite wonderful.’ Evelyn said leaning against the bookcase a smile playing at the corner off her mouth. ‘I’d like to see it again some time. The inner Blutbad.’ She smiled at him trying to lighten the mood. Monroe looked up at her for a moment and rolled his eyes trying to hide the smile.
‘Please.’ She said softly. Monroe rolled his eyes again and continued playing, he gazed up for a moment allowing his eyes to bleed to red and Evelyn positively beamed pulling a book off the case and settling herself down on the couch to read it.
