The knock at the door didn’t really come as a surprise for Monroe he was expecting Nick. He was always expecting Nick to knock though and expecting him to need help, even if he was halfway through a film with Evelyn. He sighed and got to his feet.

‘Ok, what now?’ He asked opening the door, the man before him surprised him, he hadn’t expected to see him again, ever.

‘Hello Monroe.’ The Doctor said cheerily. Evelyn jumped up hearing the familiar voice and watched as a small furry creature trotted passed her and sat down under the desk. The Doctor entered not waiting for the invite followed by a small girl with blonde hair who looked like she’d been fighting for her life. Evelyn remembered that all too well.

‘Doctor, well, this is a surprise.’ Monroe said, he glanced back at Evelyn a little worried the Doctor might trigger the painful memories she had erased.

‘And Evelyn too, wonderful, good, yes better than good.’ He smiled and clapped his hands together. ‘Listen I have a favour to ask you.’ He said walking into the living room and inspecting things then spinning around and beaming at Monroe.

‘Oh man, I don’t know.’ Monroe said rubbing the back of his head and suddenly noticing the small puppy nudging at his legs. Monroe frowned down at it in annoyance.

‘Luna here needs a place to stay, normally I’d take them with me but they’re both so young and well I thought who better to protect her. It won’t be for long, just until I figure this whole, getting stuck from another dimension thing out.’ The Doctor smiled ignoring Monroe’s horrified expression.

‘Dude you can’t be serious!’ Monroe cried pulling The Doctor aside.

‘Dude, er, Monroe, please, the poor girl has been sucked through an inter dimensional space thingy and until I can figure out how to get her back to her world. It might be best if she stays with people similar.’ The Doctor said quickly.

‘She’s a wesen?’ Monroe asked looking at the little girl who was looking around with a dreamy glint in her eyes. She was examining one of the clocks on the wall.

‘No, no of course not, witch, attendee at Hogwarts school of well never mind that.’ The Doctor waved him off.

‘Of course she can stay.’ Evelyn beamed from the doorway.

‘Oh man my house is not a place for wafes and strays.’ Monroe said in annoyance, he rolled his eyes and scowled at Evelyn.

‘Oh which exactly am I, a wafe or a stray?’ Evelyn asked eyebrows raised.

‘I didn’t mean you.’ Monroe said. He watched Evelyn for a moment as she stood hand on hip watching him.

‘She needs our help.’ She smiled at him softly and he couldn’t resist her, ghost or not he didn’t think he’d ever be able to resist her when she gave him that look. Not that he’d told her, not that he would/could tell her. Monroe looked from The Doctor to Evelyn to the girl in his living room.

‘Fine.’ Monroe scowled.

‘Fantastic, Brilliant, Luna good news, we have somewhere for you to stay.’ The Doctor beamed returning to the young girl who looked around, worry passing across her face. The Doctor bent down in front of her and gave her a reassuring smile.

‘Don’t worry, Monroe and Evelyn are a little different too. They’ll keep you safe, both of you until I can get you home. Trust me I’m The Doctor.’ He smiled at her and she threw her arms around his neck hard.

‘Thank you.’ Evelyn whispered.

‘Ok, right, things to do, wibbly wobbly timey wimey things to be precise!’ He said opening the door.

‘Erm, Doc.’ Monroe said gesturing to the dog that was now lying under his table again.

‘Ah, no Archie is Luna’s, he’s no trouble I assure you of that much.’ The Doctor said making a speedy exit as he bid them farewell.

‘This is very pretty you know.’ Luna smiled dreamily at them both. ‘Are you a werewolf?’ She asked Monroe as she studied the clock on the wall. ‘Do they have werewolves here?’

‘Oh I like her.’ Evelyn said smirking at Monroe. As he looked between the two of them a little perplexed. Now not only did he have a ghost staying in his house -which he didn’t mind because it was Evelyn- but now. Now a witch and a dog too. He’d broken so many family/blutbad rules over the past 18 months he just hoped his mother never heard about this. First a Grimm, then a ghost, now a witch and a pet, his mother would have his head for this and his balls.
